ASSUMPTION OF MARY

The Assumption of Mary, celebrated every 15th August, is a significant feast day for the Catholic Church because it recalls the day that the Immaculate Mother of God, the ever-Virgin Mary, having completed the course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul into heavenly glory. For Chorale de Kigali, this unusual day is celebrated in colors because, in addition to being the assumption of Mary, Chorale de Kigali has chosen this day as the choir's anniversary party, as part of obedience and thirst of the intercession of the ever-Virgin.
